So today, this precious little lady reaches up to my neck and gingerly touches my love beads, cradles them in her hand. "Oooohhh, they're so pretty, so unusual" she says in her perfectly lipsticked 80 year old voice. " I've never seen a steering wheel charm before".....

Oliver, back in the 80's, went all over town trying to get someone to shave a peace sign onto the side of his head. He should have known there was a problem when it was the Sears Beauty Salon that agreed. He came home, proud as peacock, with his 18" mo-hawk lazily flopped over the sides of his head to hide his surprise for us. When he flopped his hair all over to one side ... I fell out. He had a perfect Mercedes-Benz emblem shaved out! LOL!
