One upon a time there was a place called Peace....

The sheets weren't sandy the first night. They were crisp and clean and not yet damp from the salt air and the mist machines just outside our door. The towels were Motel white and folded like starched flamingos walking the wire, not yet heaped on the floor, dumplin's in a pile. And we laughed....

On the 7th night I cried. And we clinked. And counted our change. And decided we could never go home.

So we stayed one more night.
One more sunrise.
One more round of tides....
And laughed....

Kimbies won a bucket of Domestics at Beer Bingo
and Skinny won a bucket of Choice....
We saddled our boogie boards and rode naked in the waves....
Each new wave, the Mother of all Waves, yankin' down our britches and unlacing our ties....
We fell...
In the waves, on the deck, over the sprinklers, out of chairs, up the stairs, and in love.
We danced...
Barefooted and bikini bottomed, in gypsy gowns to the ground, and in cowboy boots. With friends and with strangers. All by ourselves.

This morning, I leaned over the deck railing, toes to the edge, and blew her kisses. Thanked her. Wayward child at the train station. She knows I'll be back. And no matter what happens between now and then, when she sees me, she'll scoop me up in her beer foam arms and rock me back to peace........

"In the End, Peace Wins...."

"Thank you, Ocean".....

Oh, KJ! It was the bomb! We were wreckless and free..."the gypsies" they named us, silly tourists....can't tell the difference between gypsies and hippies! LOL!

Babs....We tried to check on everyone once via cell phone internet, but the waves in the sea were much bigger than the satellite waves! We had such a wonderful, wonderful time, and the best pictures are the ones just frozen in our memories~those split seconds of once~in~a~lifetime expressions! LOL! You caught me pullin' a Nana....she taught us girls well! :)

Peace~love sweet girls.....

My soulful sister,

And somewhere
behind
these eyes
that read your words
with such
baited anticipation...

I know they are there...

The gypsy butterflies
circling round a fire

Painted in dappled shadow
and soft flame

singing songs
of the ocean
and the naked waves

and the freedom
of a sisters embrace..

You are keeper of the voice my friend,

Keep tellin the world the story we long to hear,

Peace...

Lovin you, M

So cool to read about your adventures by the sea . . .

The spirit of the ocean delivers once again . . .

Radiance and rejuvenation for the hippie sisters, singleton and skinny, and their kindred . . .

How cool . . .

I feel refreshed just reading about it . . .

Smiles . . . :)

Sweet Maithri...I wish you could have been here....to scooch in closer to the light...to see Kimbies with her tamborines, and clinkers and clankers, morrocos, and noisemakers, gathering children and soldiers and strangers and lonesomes, pulling them into the circle, closer to the music, to the love.....I wish you could have seen her eyes....
and the eyes that saw her...
JSYK..."It doesn't matter whose child.....".......
Much love, sweet friend, and peace....
She wins.....

Oceans....She revels, she rocks, she rules.... The sea....And we saw dolphins, seagulls, sandpipers, pelicans, periwinkles,
sand dollars, catfish, sunrises and sunsets, first stars and sharks, playing in our own private puddles.....We laughed and crashed, laughed and cried,
And we gained strength...gobbled it up....in the dark you could only hear her....feel her....believe in her....respect her...
And follow her lead
And I know you know.....

Shimmerings....Clink! I tried a dozen times to capture it and finally realized I couldn't....It may be the only story I never tell...How blessed we were... How beautiful it was....how very very much we needed her...the ocean, and the time.....Thank you for knowing!

Peace~love

Sandy....I had to! I think she saved our lives, right there, the lady with the old soul....The Ocean. Reminding us....to believe. Roaring at the top of her voice to drown out our everyday whaa~whaa's and purring like a kitten when we got it! Pulling trinkets and treasures from her apron pockets and spilling them at our feet. Scooping us up in her arms and rocking us. It's funny, she lies right out my back door and morning trips, day trips, night trips are no further than my everyday commute to work, but staying......living by the tides and not the clock....Oh, that's the magic. We're workin' on building a gypsy camp, a commune right now....one we can all call "home"....

Skinny...I know! I know! I know! Throw in a little John Grisham for today! I'll call you when we know! ILYSVVM!

She...Muah! I saw baby Love's frame on your sight! It's beautiful! And will be in my arms by Saturday! Thank you so very very much, sweet friend! The stories are still mixed in with the seashells, the sand dollars, and the crinkled old beach towels hanging on the line.... sea treasures, moments, Love......

Peace~love
Kimbies heard the ocean in her backyard last night....
She was singin' in the wind....
