There's got to be a morning after....

When the new neighbors saw the officer at the door, they politely turned their backs. "Police. Open up. Search Warrant" he cop-pounded on the door. "It's open" I bellowed back, "Come on in, you've been here before, you know where everything is! " When the disco light came on, they gave up and went inside, pulled their shades. Missing the rest of the Saturday night parade, they spent the evening with only their imaginations to fill in the blanks....and the grapevine to tell the story......"Ahhhh, the police were across the street again, you'll never believe what she did this time!"........

We marathoned the night. Toasting, boasting, twirling, dipping, moonwalking, laughing, swirling, clinking, drinking, and having a ball. Sometimes, you have "to fight for your right to partaaaaaaay!"

Oh....if Kimbies & I could have been hummingbirds...we would have buzzed right in, hovered around just long enough to take in all the eye & spirit candy! Good Times! xoxox

Ahahahaha...now I find out you had to really fight for the right to party! 3 songs for you!
Y-M-C-A....
We-are-family! I got all my sisters & me!
We gotta fight, for our right to P-A-R-T-Y!

Did you really have to fight for your right? Tell us!

But I hope it was only to fight to get into your corner bar, and that it was the village cop that that hasseled you, not the real deal.

Peace out.

Sounds like an interesting night, Sing. :)

skinny....Ahhh girl, Kimbies famous line: "We'll run up for just one beer"...you girls woulda been closing the town down, little hummingbirds! And funny, that you choreographed the evening, in the exact same order it happened, and the band played it! ILYSVVM!

Eric...Actually the only person that hassled me got escorted outa the building on a ticket to ride! :) which successfully rescued him from riding out the door on the tip of my heel-toed (left only!) construction boot! Ta!dah! Sometimes, you've gotta fight for your to party in peace!

Karma...the very best part was them....The circle....It's a mighty good one!

peace~love Does anybody have a tylenol?

eric1313 said...

Nothing better in the world than a lady who will fight for what's right.

You're a role model and inspiration to lots of your readers.

eric1313 said...

No tylenol here--and I have a skull-cracking tooth ache, too.

singleton said...

Eric....Awwww, man, that is THE worst!Gargle with salt water, rinse with listerine, and pray for the tooth fairy to wave her magic wand.....Bayer aspirin or BC's help with those almighty's too! Forget the tylenol, they wouldn't even touch it!

eric1313 said...

I just did gargle with salt--funny that I know that but I forget it with the drop of a dime.

I just took four motrin 200's. I use motrin sparingly--I have friends who are imune to it because they used it too much. Just waiting for it to kick in.

So, some jerk was hassling you at the bar? Did he know it was your bar? I bet he did when he hit the bricks!

singleton said...

Oh, he knew whose bar it was. Just needed a swift little reminder to keep his 220 outa my space....

singleton said...

Our little place has an incredible support network.....a circle....I don't think he had any idea that when I flew off that dance floor, the troops were already on stand-by.....sign language flying like telephone tag, around the bar....everyone scooching in closer...watching for the sign from me.....Two fingers for peace....

eric1313 said...

Right. Nothankyou! wasn't good enough for him, ehh? At least you have friends who stick up for you before you were forced to castrate him with your pointy shoes. That's good to hear.

eric1313 said...

Hahah! To fingers for Gimme Peace!

I get you now, you were dancing and he wanted to cut in. Really close.

220... that's funny. 220 pounds of pure jackass, huh?

singleton said...

Hah! Silly poet, they weren't pointy shoes! Still tipped construction boot (Concrete block grafittied for the occasion on the other foot!) And then they simply escorted the ungentlemanly creep out into the cool, full mooned, parking lot!

singleton said...

He wanted to cut-in on the night, not just the dance, and since he came barreling in all full of bully, And I was dressed like a hippie construction worker, I decided to do what anygood ole boy down here woulda done. Remind him exactly where I could put my foot! And show 'em the door! Thank God, for back up, that's all I can say.....
220
110
hmmmmmmm........

singleton said...

And they all danced in peace, happily thereafter!

eric1313 said...

220, 110

Ohhh.... Never mind! He was an ACDC. Was that it? (stop me any time!)

Glad you escaped that... I knew what you meant by the cut-in, he wanted one dance to lead to another. Glad your dance floor is watched very well. People should know to be respectful to a lady.

eric1313 said...

How's the ankle healing? It is undoudtedly healing faster because you move around on it. When is the boot coming off?

singleton said...

Ha! I dont know what an ACDC is! And I fly like the wind is this ole baby block! Nah, this dude is a haunting, he had no business being there in the first place, he came to stalk....he got to do the walk!

eric1313 said...

At least your well protected. It's a shame you can't take peace as a given--when it should always be.
