At the Matinee

The last time I was going to be a ballerina, I clunked through all the closets, dug through the drawers, pilfered through old suitcases and found one....just one...tattered pink shoe. I pirouetted out into the living room, spinning madly to Jethro Tull, and my daughter, eyes barely lifting off the book she was reading, muttered..."Ma, you can't do that anymore, you'll break your foot". I never quit twirling.

And of course, I was in surgery, three days later. And still in a cast three months later.

Today, I was a ballerina again. On my own private stage, the heavily wooded curtains hiding me from the audience in the red velvet chairs. The wind an orchestra....the sun a spotlight shining only on me...

Sometimes we just have to believe....

And keep on dancing....

Shimmerings...Gotta love you! The little blow up pool is the only place I can dance without my combat boots! Oh God, if only you could have seen my childs face catching me face down doing pirouettes in the lazy round river!

Sometimes we just have to be free...And I so know you know....

Oh sisterlove, LOL! If you'd been here we would have had the disco light in the pool at sunset and been doing Rock Opera Ballet to Zepplin and a thousand butterflies and dragonflies would have joined us for the encore! ILYSVVM!

Lol! I made a list too! It's in right hand while driving scribble on an inside out cigarette carton in the car. I can't read anything on it and can't joggle my memory, but I could read...The Clash and The Grateful Dead....if only I could remember what I was inspired to do by the Music!

And To you beloved sister,

Always peace, Always love,
